Description

Position Summary

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify, recruit, and evaluate potential candidates for various positions using staffing strategies that attract diverse and appropriate talent to meet the organization's strategic goals.

Summary of Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to)

  • Assists with various aspects of the recruitment process including job posting, screening, scheduling interviews, reference checks, offers and onboarding
  • Develops a thorough understanding of the organization’s history, culture, and positions to ensure success in identifying potential candidates
  • Takes initiative and uses innovation to determine best recruiting sources and maintains job postings
  • Reviews resumes and employment applications to evaluate qualifications and eligibility of candidates
  • Engages and communicates professionally with candidates throughout the recruitment process
  • Communicates effectively with the management team regarding interview and applicant status
  • Assists with facilitating new hire orientations and processes new hire paperwork
  • Travels as needed to other company locations for recruitment purposes
  • Attends and participates in career fairs
  • Utilizes and maintains applicant tracking system
  • Prepares reports including but not limited to new hire reports and candidate reports
  • Assists with the ongoing development of the Human Resources department
  • Performs other related duties as needed and assigned

Qualifications


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in recruitment
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS systems
  • Bachelors’ Degree in related field or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment
  • Strong understanding of successful recruiting practices including use of social media
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
  • Industry knowledge a plus
